Chorus Niagara Presents
TOUCH THE EARTH LIGHTLY
PARTRIDGE HALL
Reflect on humanity's relationship to Mother Earth in the Niagara premiere of the strikingly beautiful Sunrise: A Symphonic Mass, for choir and strings by renowned Norwegian composer Ola Gjeilo. Stunning on-screen images weave a moving musical journey from the starry heavens, through cityscapes to the magnificent tranquility of earth. The premiere of Canadian composer Tawnie Olson’s That’s One Small Step continues our choral encounter with the beauty and fragility of our planet.
We also premiere a new work by local Canadian composer Glen Rhodes. Who We Are, explores our relationship with the Earth, and our relationship with ourselves. It is a message about humanity, and our role in the stewardship and destruction of our planet, and how that role is a reflection of our own loss of touch with ourselves
Don’t miss this multi-media once-in-a-lifetime performance!
