As Hamilton’s annual celebration of music, art, fashion and culture, Supercrawl rolls out a banquet of free cultural programming every fall that always draws a crowd. The 2018 festival attracted record numbers to James Street North, where more than 250,000 people feasted on the best of what the city has to offer. The menu of options for Supercrawl 2019 should have them coming back for more.
Alongside a bill of musical headliners like Bahamas, Buffy Sainte-Marie, Bettye LaVette, Stars, Fateh, and Hamilton Blues All-Stars, and a weekend packed with dynamic, creative programming, Supercrawl organizers have also assembled a varied and mouthwatering menu of food vendors for this year’s festival.
Supercrawl hosts hometown favourites and mainstays of Hamilton’s food truck scene as well as a number of prominent out-of-towners, serving up an eclectic array of culinary choices — including vegetarian, vegan, halal, and gluten-free options. This year, festival-goers can choose from almost 50 food and drink vendors on six city blocks as part of a vibrant urban arts festival that covers two kilometres of neighbourhood streets.

If none of the above satisfies your cravings, you can always step off-street to grab a bite at any of the dozens of cafés, bars and restaurants peppered in and around the festival corridor.
On top of this, Supercrawl will feature two spacious Collective Arts Beer Gardens — one at the south end of the festival and another at the north — where legal-age festival-goers can quench their thirst while taking in top musical talent. While you’re there, be sure to sample Supercrawl Hazy Pale Ale, the festival’s refreshing, limited-edition collaboration with Hamilton’s Clifford Brewing, recently named Brewery of the Year at the Canadian Brewing Awards.
With so much on offer, you’ll need a weekend — a very full weekend — to take it all in!
