8th Annual Traditional Pow Wow
The Niagara Regional Native Centre Eighth Annual Traditional Pow Wow is coming to the Meridian Centre, on October 1, 2022.

Since 1974 the Niagara Regional Native Centre helps bring together our region and communities and promotes cultural awareness, understanding and respect among nations.

During the event, dancing such as: traditional, jingle, fancy feather, fancy shawl, grass and smoke dance will be performed in tandem with honour song, and drum line special.

In addition, many influential speakers will be present including Phyillis Webstad, residential school survivor, author, and creator of 'orange shirt day'.

The NRNC 8th Annual Pow Wow will be Webstad's first time visiting Ontario, and the Niagara Region, making her presence greatly appreciated and honoured by the community.
