On May 6th, for the very first time, beer lovers of Niagara will gather for Cask Fest 2017, an exclusive event that reunites local breweries with the roots of their craft.
Parks Canada and Friends of Fort George have teamed up with Silversmith Brewing Company to organize a beer festival at The Agora at Fort George, a truly unique venue, to offer one-of-a-kind cask conditioned beers brewed by seven different local breweries. Proceeds of the festival will go to Friends of George, so that they can continue to preserve and promote the heritage of Niagara National Historic Sites.
Participating breweries will include Silversmith Brewing Company, The Exchange Brewery, Teaching Brewery at Niagara College, Kame and Kettle Beer Works,Shawn and Ed Brewing Co. and two up-and-coming breweries — Bench Brewing and Fairweather Brewing Company.
Not only will the festival feature beers that you won’t find anywhere else, but will also include live entertainment, and a variety of local food trucks including In the Smoke and AVella’s. During the event, the NOTL Canada 150 Committee will present their new special Confederation Celebration show; a 150th anniversary musical and fun theatrical performance.
Get your tickets at any of the participating breweries or the Friends of Fort George gift shop.
